Karina & Philip contacted me when they decided to move their wedding up by three months due to the pandemic. Since they had to downsize their wedding, they wanted to have the event somewhere special: Karina’s family’s vacation home in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of Upstate NY.
Izzy & Michael were originally supposed to have about 200 guests at Izzy's parents' home in New Paltz, NY. When the pandemic hit, they downsized. A lot.
It's been an incredibly hard year for everyone and the live event industry was far from immune. There were SO MANY couples excited to get married in 2020. Many that had waited for this year to finally get married. And then they couldn't. In an unprecedented event that shook the ENTIRE world, weddings were upended for the whole year.
Aisha & Denis were my only 2020 wedding to keep their original date as their main wedding. Some couples still got married on their original date, but saved things like the videographer for their bigger celebration down the road.
Possibly the biggest trend I saw in 2019 weddings was also the sweetest: having the bride and groom’s dog included in the wedding! This could mean a lot of different things depending on your type of pet, venue restrictions, etc but here are some ways to include your four-legged friend in the nuptials:
Laura & Alex are the biggest Disney couple known by friends to “plan their next Disney trip while still on their current Disney trip.” So when it came time to plan their wedding the theme was a no brainer! Their Le Chateau wedding in Westchester, NY was truly something out of a fairytale.
Katie & Shaun had a beautiful, crisp November wedding at Stablegate Barn & Vineyard in Upstate NY complete with the most impressive fireworks show any of us had ever seen.
Melissa & Peter had a gorgeous fall wedding at Old Daley on Crooked Lake in Upstate NY this October. Their outdoor ceremony overlooking the lake was a blast with six small children and a golden retriever in the wedding party.
Casey and Ian finally tied the knot (literally) at their Waters Edge Lighthouse wedding in Schenectady New York this October. A fun couple who kept us on our toes all day, their wedding had a beautiful fall theme with many festive pumpkins, hay bales and corn husks.
After a decade together Darcey & Simon finally tied the knot on a gorgeous fall day in Saratoga Springs, NY. From the excitement that these two shared for their big day you would not have guessed they have been inseparable (despite distance and four college degrees) for so long.
Jess & Chris are the sweetest couple! They got married at the most gorgeous barn property owned by Jess’s family, Best View Barn in Central NY. The advantage of owning and running a wedding venue is that this is one family that really knows how to party!
Ally and Mikey had a huge wedding celebration at a summer camp that they rented out for the entire weekend: Forest Lake Camp. It was a PERFECT expression of their love and personalities and a great way for all of the friends to hang out and party all weekend long.
Nikki and Matt’s rustic chic wedding was all about the visuals. Their trendy design choices for the space relied on geometric and found elements but also reflected their individual personalities.
Connor & Pierre were the most hilarious and easy-going couple to film. Their wedding was such a blast and we LOVED all of The Office & Parks and Rec references. 😂 Their wedding was truly a combination of a lot of love, laughter, good friends and good times. We’re glad it didn’t take them as long as Pam and Jim to get together. 😀
A gorgeous day in Saratoga to get married! Maggie & John are so in love and had such an amazing celebration at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga Springs, NY.
They’ve got class, they’ve got style and they’ve got a lot of fun friends! It was a perfect day in Saratoga for Chelsea & Jason’s end of August Canfield Casino wedding.
Julia & Noah's rustic barn wedding in upstate NY was nearly a washout! Fortunately the downpours took a break long enough for one spectacular wedding ceremony overlooking the Adirondack mountains at Burlap & Beams Wedding Barn. Julia and Noah are simply the CUTEST and clearly had the time of their lives at their wedding. As did we all!!
Stacey & Billy's Le Chateau NY wedding video will make you laugh AND cry. Their friend delivered a hilarious ceremony at Le Chateau's gorgeous outdoor ceremony site. They honored Billy's recently departed, beloved mother. The couple shared what they love most about one another & they partied the night away with some impressive dance moves.
Lyssa & Devon had a beautiful ranch style wedding at 1000 Acres Ranch Resort in the Adirondacks of Upstate New York. The groom fell apart when he saw his bride for the first time coming down the aisle. They exchanged beautiful vows and listened to heartwarming toasts by their best friends. Followed by quite the party!
For some couples, choosing a wedding videographer is as easy as watching one film and knowing you have to have that person film your wedding. Others will weigh their options, their budget and their priorities for weeks. Here is a checklist of things to consider so that you can make your decision before your favorite vendor gets booked up!
Diana & Chase had a beautiful catholic ceremony and reception at the Brotherhood Winery (oldest winery in the states).
This gorgeous Hall of Springs wedding was all about Alyssa, Bobby AND Bobby's son Gabriel. The three became one happy family with big smiles all day long. There was a lot of love, a lot of laughs and all of the dance moves.
Heather and Evan had a magazine-worthy wedding if I’ve ever seen one. Their venue Basilica Hudson was like no other venue I’ve been to.
Christina & Matt were married in a beautiful Catholic ceremony at St Mary's Catholic Church in Albany NY and River Stone Manor in Schenectady NY.
Gorgeous venue, gorgeous couple, gorgeous day! Doesn't get much better than Chelsea & Brett's stunning lakeside wedding at the Lake George Club in Upstate NY. They got married on a dock with their 175 guests!
Victoria & Joe got married in downtown Albany at the gorgeous Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and hosted a beautiful reception at the State Room Albany.
